Simon Miller, Editor-In Chief… for one last time -, Life

videogamercomlogo -

So… if you can't hack the VGPlays article on your last day, what can you do? A lot, apparently. But I digress.

I just wanted to say what a pleasure it's been and to thank everyone who ever read one of these articles, watched a video, listened to the podcast or sent me a message (even if it was to call me an asshole). Regardless what it was, I enjoyed every second and I'll always look back on my time here fondly.

Always believe…

Who cares what I played this week?

Miller's leaving.

Tom Orry, Editorial Director - Diablo 3, PS4

Other than playing Diablo 3 at Gamescom or Leipzig a million years ago, this week was the first time I'd played the game for any serious amount of time. It's not quite what I expected.

For fear of angering all the game's hardcore fans, on PS4 (and other consoles) Diablo 3 feels a lot like a God of War game for beginners. Due to the way you can use the right stick to roll and hold down a button to attack, it feels similar to FIFA's one-button mode.

Of course, there's a lot more to Diablo than what I'm currently experiencing. The menus are full of upgrades and equipment to dabble with, and the adventure has only just started.

Killzone and Infamous on PS4, very poor exclusives all round and both franchises should have just been the one game.

Addicted to Football Manager and XCOM at the moment, then again I've been addicted to FM for about 4 years now...

It's been mostly Watch Dogs for me. I'm rather enjoying it, more than I expected to certainly. I can't say I've done a great deal of the story, there are too many distractions.

Simon! No! I've been listening to your podcasts since the Nowgamer days. Simon you are a leading voice in this fledging creative industry that is struggling to its feet in the new century. Hopefully your insight, sarcasm and passion tinged with nihilism wont be away from the netwaves for too long. If so then thank you for everything mate.

Damn, I had so much to drink yesterday I completely forgot Simon was leaving. Now the sadness returns. To accompany such depressing thoughts I've been playing limbo and TLOU dlc. Fun Fun Cry being the pattern here.

Sad to see the back of Miller :(

I've been playing that skyward sword. I'm enjoying the bits in between dungeons more than the dungeons themselves. All the characters are really well drawn and designed, the translation job is excellent and the dialogue is pretty funny. Early days yet but its pretty fun.
