Heads-up: What's new this week
A look ahead to Friday's new releases.
Welcome to Heads-up, our weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Two games of a distinctly Eastern flavour top the release bill this week. Metroid: Other M is Nintendo and Team Ninja's take on the classic series starring suited heroine Samus Aran. Wii owners looking for some quality action need look no further. More niche is SEGA's PSP follow-up to the excellent PS3 game Valkyria Chronicles. While we'd have probably preferred a PS3 sequel, this PSP game is the perfect way to pass time when travelling.

Worth a look
You might think that you've played all the Tetris you'll ever want to play, but Nintendo thinks otherwise. Tetris Party Deluxe for Wii and DS delivers even more Tetris, which is nice. HAWX 2 only hits Xbox 360 this week, with other platforms to follow next week, and from what we've played is a decent if unspectacular follow-up to the original high-tech aerial combat game.
