A look ahead to Friday's new releases.

Recommended
In what has to be one of, if not the most packed release week of the year, you've got plenty of top quality gaming entertainment to keep you busy. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed II and Valve's Left 4 Dead 2 offer the grown-up, adults only experiences, while Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Sony Computer Entertainment's LittleBigPlanet are perfect examples of games suitable for the whole family - even if both can prove quite tricky at times.

Assassin's Creed II - Xbox 360, PS3
New Super Mario Bros Wii - Wii
Left 4 Dead 2
LittleBigPlanet - PSP

Also worth a look
Beyond our sure fire picks there's plenty more that could well prove solid investments, including the delayed release of Dragon Age on PS3, Formula 1 2009, PES 2010 on Wii and handheld versions of Assassin's Creed for DS and PSP.

After watching them lineage short-videos. I was heavily intrigued and I think its a wise decision. Throughout January I will pretty much play MW2 mostly still Mass Effect 2 arrives. Dragon Age: Origins can fill that spot for me.

I think AC2 will be a buy from me this week. I'm sure Dragon Age: Origins can wait till Christmas for me. Something to tie me down with for January before the release of Mass Effect 2.

AC2 for me, should get mine in the next couple of days, luckily finished MW2 campaign last nite, so I only have the MP to lure me away from AC2

ACII and L4D2 can wait until they are reduced, ACII will most likely need to be the lower side of £20 to tempt me. So sometime next year then for that.
