Heads-up: What's new this week
A look ahead to Friday's new releases.
Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com's weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Dragon Age has been a long time coming, especially for PC owners who have been teased with it for years, but it's finally hitting stores this week. Our review will be online later today, so for now you'll just have to make do with a recommendation and some advice: buy it for PC if you can. The console versions are by no means terrible, but it's a game designed to be played on the PC. Also out this week, and well worth your money, is PS3 exclusive action platformer Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time. With some really clever Clank levels and the classic Ratchet gameplay, this is one fans won't want to miss.

Also worth a look
Ghostbusters, the fun but flawed third-person shooter, finally arrives on non-Sony platforms this week. We found the PS3 game to be a fun ride, and the same is true of the Xbox 360 and Wii versions of the game. PES 2010 hits PS2 and PSP, offering slightly refined football gameplay. Need for Speed Nitro is a bit of an unknown quantity, so buy with caution, but it's looked promising at preview events. A Boy and His Blob won't be for everyone, with its old-school look and classic 2D platforming gameplay, but it's one of the most charming games released all year.
