DLC Royal Rumble - PS3 vs Xbox 360 vs Wii

Who comes out on top in this week's DLC round-up?

The console war is fought everywhere these days, but the internet seems to be where people are most vocal. It also serves to give each console its own set of downloadable content, fuelling the war even more. Each week we'll give you a run-down of what's available to download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, and declare a winner.

Note: This round-up is based on UK releases to each console's online service and does not include premium video content. Releases outside of the UK could vary.

PlayStation 3 - PSN

While there are no proper game demos on the PlayStation Store this week, PS3 users still have plenty of downloadable content to take a look at. Top of the list is the online-only SOCOM Confrontation, a third-person team-based shooter that isn't for the casuals. Newcomers might find the whole experience a little overwhelming, but long-time SOCOM fans are likely to be sorely tempted by the £19.99 price tag. Something else PS3 owners can boast over their Xbox 360 owning friends is the Midnight Club LA - South Central DLC, which has been delayed on 360 due to a few unforeseen issues.

On top of that there's the original Silent Hil, the surprisingly good PowerUp Forever, the CoD WaW Map Pack (including more zombies), the FIFA 09 Ultimate Team add-on, and new content for LittleBigPlanet, Street Fighter IV, Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour.
