Who comes out on top in this week's DLC round-up?

The console war is fought everywhere these days, but the internet seems to be where people are most vocal. It also serves to give each console its own set of downloadable content, fuelling the war even more. Each week we'll give you a run-down of what's available to download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, and declare a winner.

Note: This round-up is based on UK releases to each console's online service and does not include premium video content. Releases outside of the UK could vary.

PlayStation 3 - PSN

There's nothing too exciting on PSN this week if you're after full games, with PSOne title Cool Boarders 2 being all that's on offer - not a bad game, but we wouldn't recommend it unless you were a fan on its original release. Thankfully there are three demos to try, with EA's Mirror's Edge undoubtedly being the pick of the bunch - and you can get even more from it if you pre-order the game and unlock a time trial mode. An EndWar demo will test your voice box and if you're still to make your mind up over Sony's Warhawk, a demo is finally available.

Numerous add-ons are available for Civilization: Revolution, SoulCalibur IV and Rock Band, and there's also the usual assortment of trailers, wallpapers and themes.

Why even have the Wii in the Royal Rumble, it never wins and doesn't stand a chance since the Wii doesn't offer all the extra content the other 2 do. The Wii does to a certain extent but these guys don't include it for certain reasons I forget. The Wii puts up new trailers, ads and developer talks in the Nintendo Channel and downloaable DS demo's too but none of this gets included so its not fair to stick the Wii in these battles on VC and WiiWare games alone.

I'd say that 360 and PS3 DLC has been pretty much on a par this week. They called it simply due to the XBLA having a new original release. Having Castlevania on the Wii though is great, I think the Wii should win just for having the coolest game ;)
