Who comes out on top in this week's DLC round-up?

The console war is fought everywhere these days, but the internet seems to be where people are most vocal. It also serves to give each console its own set of downloadable content, fuelling the war even more. Each week we'll give you a run-down of what's available to download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, and declare a winner.

Note: This round-up is based on UK releases to each console's online service and does not include premium video content. Releases outside of the UK could vary.

PlayStation 3 - PSN

Perhaps the biggest release on the PS Store this week is a demo that isn't officially out yet. The Heavy Rain demo was meant to be next week's highlight, but it turns out that you can get early access by completing the Heavy Rain Alternate Reality Game.

Besides Heavy Rain the pick of the week's new content is Final Fantasy VIII, considered by some to be superior to Final Fantasy VII. At £7.99, this is a PSone classic all JRPG fans need to check out.

If you're unable to get hold of Heavy Rain then you could do much worse than check out the Bad Company 2 and Aliens vs Predator multiplayer demos.

PSN clearly wins even without Heavy Rain, and i resent that any FF game is classed as a JRPG now :P JRPGs are Ragnarok, RF Online, Neosteam and other such grind-fests. I suppose FFXI is firmly rooted in JRPG territory, but none of the regular FFs are much like that. Even Resonance of Fate isn't THAT JRPG-ish bar the stereotypical characters.

Least thats my definition anyway :)
