Who comes out on top in this week's DLC round-up?

The console war is fought everywhere these days, but the internet seems to be where people are most vocal. It also serves to give each console its own set of downloadable content, fuelling the war even more. Each week we'll give you a run-down of what's available to download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, and declare a winner.

Note: This round-up is based on UK releases to each console's online service and does not include premium video content. Releases outside of the UK could vary.

PlayStation 3 - PSN

New game offerings Thexder Neo and Polar Panic are appealing to two distant demographics: the hardcore shmup fan and kids. Younger gamers should get some enjoyment out of Polar Panic, but hardcore gamers are out of luck; Thexder Neo isn't great. Luckily there are demo/trials available for both, so you can make up your own mind.

If you haven't already bought Uncharted 2 (why not?) then the newly released demo might be just what you need to push you off the fence and into your local video game store. PS3 gamers who already own the game might want to part with the best part of £4 for some pretty cool PlayStation Hero character skins.

Elsewhere there's the so-so Battle of Forli DLC for Assassin's Creed 2 and a bunch of other content for PAIN, LBP and the band games.

Its never too late for a demo, I kinda find it stupid when people say that it is. You're basically saying that "ohhh no, not playing it now the actual game is out...f*ck that, i'll just buy the game and if its crap i'll go back and trade it in".

If anything it's annoying when people say it's too late.

Are you serious? The demo has come far too late to really make a difference. Do like the skin pack! ME2 DLC and Battlefield BC2 demo's are more impressive than that. But agree with VG the Wii wins with it's classic.
