Wii Virtual Console

This week saw the Virtual Console notch up its 200th title, with the release of Commodore 64 classics Uridium and International Karate, plus N64 racer Cruis'n USA. Uridium is a shmup in which players must defend 15 planets from invading Super-Dreadnoughts; International Karate is a one-on-one fighting game in which players compete to become the international karate champion; and Cruis'n USA is the arcade port which sees players racing along the highways of LA, the deserts of Arizona and the nation's capital city Washington DC.

Virtual Console releases
Uridium: 500 Wii Points
International Karate: 500 Wii Points
Cruis'n USA: 1000 Wii Points

And the winner of this week's DLC Royal Rumble is...

PlayStation 3 - PSN
Despite some "last minute technical difficulties" which prevented this week's update from going live on time, the content available to PlayStation 3 owners this week is more than good enough to eclipse offerings on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the Virtual Console. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is supported by a solid selection of game add-ons, a demo and a bunch of videos, which should be more than enough to keep PS3 gamers occupied until next week.
