Top 10: Brand new GTA 4 secrets revealed

GTA 4 promises to be 2008's biggest game, and will no doubt sell more in its first week than Gears of War 2, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Resistance 2. Following our mammoth six-page GTA 4 first-look in January, we've returned to Rockstar's London HQ for our first hands-on with the gangster epic. The result? We've blown the game wide open with our hands-on preview. But we know you GTA fans want more, so here VideoGamer.com reveals 10 GTA 4 secrets we've discovered from the trip. If that doesn't satisfy your GTA 4 lust, nothing will.

10. GTA 4 will have loads of mini-games, and online leaderboards.

Rockstar isn't saying much about GTA 4's mini-games, but what I can reveal is that there will be lots of them and you'll be able to compare your scores via online leaderboards. There's darts, pool, bowling and even retro arcade games (Rockstar wouldn't say which ones). And if that's not enough there will be an Airport run for you to sink your teeth into - an illegal car race that's sure to prove popular with driving fans. There will be no casino mini-games though, and no rampages either. Bah. But there will be vehicle stunts - if you see a ramp that looks tempting, have a go. If you complete the stunt you'll unlock an achievement.

9. TWAT stands for Totally Wireless @, and the game's web browser looks like Rockstar's GTA 4 website.

You'll be able to browse news websites (on Rockstar's version of the internet) and check the coverage of your own handiwork. You'll be able to access email - you'll need to send a CV via email for an interview with a lawyer. TWAT's Internet browser will end up looking a lot like Rockstar's GTA 4 website, I'm told, and will be more for completists. But you will be able to affect gameplay through it.

I call BS, why would this site be the only one with info on things like tanks being in or out? It would also be on every other site such as kikizo, gtanet, IGN, etc. But it is not from what I can tell.

Sam Houset said there is Sixaxis support, and he said it will be sued porperly. Perhaps you just said that becuase you are a 360 fanboy? I defitnely think the Sixaxis will amke the PS3 version better, not the Downloadable Content you will ahve to pay �10 for. What a joke.

the info about taking crappy weapons out is some what true somewat not some ppl say that the rocket launcher is gone some ppl say its still in? but they are taking some un-realistic stuff out of the game HOW ABOUT WE ALL JUST W8 AND SEE WHEN THE GAME COMES OUT!!!!

It really is a shame about the lack of fantasy vehicules and base jumping imo. I can understand the removal of the fighter jets and jetpacks from San Andreas, especially as the jetpack allowed you to exploit a lot of glitches in SA since it could be spawned anywhere...however, I don't see a reason to take the tanks out, in previous GTA games you can quite easily avoid the cops without getting busted or wasted untill the tanks arrive...I assume the 100hours is for 100% completion, which isn't really different from previous GTA games either.

I sincerly hope it includes some secrets like the epsilon cult in GTA SA.

WTF!!?! xbox gets exclusive DLC? Sony had GTA since it was a top down piece of crap and rockstar does this? Why? Because microsoft told them theyd give them an couple extra mil? There is no loyalty in this world and if i knew this before i purchased it i wouldnt of bought either version. And i own 360 and the ps3. This is why im starting to hate console gaming.
