Resistance 2 will come out in November 2008
While there hasn't been an official announcement that a sequel to the solid if unspectacular PS3 launch FPS is even in the works, it's a sure thing. And we reckon Sony has the game pencilled in for November 2008, when it will go up against Gears of War 2 on the 360 in an almighty Christmas 08 face-off. Expect stupendous graphics - when we sat down for a chat with Insomniac Games' Chief Creative Officer Brian Hastings, he told us to expect great things from the PS3. He said: "The amount of action we're able to put on the screen at 60 frames per second really dwarfs what we were able to do a year ago at 30 frames per second. What's most exciting is the way things are headed right now I think we'll see just as big a leap from our second generation engine to our third as we did from the first to second." Just don't expect a return to Manchester Cathedral. VideoGamer.com news editor James Orry insists the game will ship with the title 'Resistance: Rise of Man' but we think that might be a little too cheesy.
