Welcome to the Rumour mill, VideoGamer.com's run-down of the big rumours currently doing the rounds in the video game industry. Every week we'll hunt down the juiciest stories and give our opinion on how legit they are. So, whether you want the ridiculous or the plausible, read on.
PS3 Platinum Hits range coming to Europe in autumn
The Rumour: Sony will launch a budget priced Platinum Hits range for the PlayStation 3 this autumn. The games will retail for €40 each, which should mean roughly £30 in the UK. MotorStorm, Heavenly Sword, Resistance: Fall of Man, Formula One Championship Edition, Lair, Folklore, Ridge Racer 7 and Genji: Days of the Blade will be the initial titles on offer, but don't be surprised if Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction join the range a few months later.
Verdict: Sony hasn't announced anything regarding a Platinum range for the PS3 in Europe, but it surely can't be too far away. With a fair number of back catalogue titles now available a reduction in price will see them appealing to new console buyers alongside the newer releases.
Plausibility rating: 4/5
Klonoa coming to PSN
The Rumour: Classic PlayStation platformer from Namco is coming to the PlayStation Network.
Verdict: Old PlayStation games coming to the PlayStaton Network isn't anything new but when a classic platformer appears to be heading to the service it's worth getting excited about. With Klonoa listed on the PEGI website (a pan-European ratings body) it all but confirms the game is coming to the PSN. The game didn't sell very well when it arrived in Europe on the original PlayStation, so hopefully this will give it a new lease of life.
Plausibility rating: 4/5
Raving Rabbids 3 this Holiday
The Rumour: The third in the Raving Rabbids series will be out in time for Christmas. Interestingly it'll drop the Rayman name, with the Raving Rabbids going solo this time.
Verdict: We can't say we've been overly impressed by the Raving Rabbids series but it's a decent seller for Ubisoft. This rumour comes from forum favourite Surfer Girl and there's no reason to suggest it isn't true.
Plausibility rating: 4/5
Mickey Mouse platformer from Warren Spector
The Rumour: Ever since Junction Point Studios was acquired by Disney Interactive Studios the next project by the Warren Spector (Deus Ex creator) headed studio has been shrouded in mystery. Well, how about a Mickey Mouse platformer to go head to head with Super Mario?
Verdict: This one originates from EGM magazine's rumours column - a source that has had mixed accuracy in the past. A new Mickey Mouse platformer from a quality studio is something fans have wanted for a long time and it seems like our dreams are coming true. Until an official announcement though, we're going to remain a little sceptical.
Plausibility rating: 3/5

Looking at the upcoming line up of games, the ps3 will outsell the 360 in 08 and 09 with hitters that have not even been mentioned but taunted Like TWISTED METAL for ps3.... and GOD OF WAR, and for a company that charges for THEMES on there Xbox live, has a 33% failure rate have only Gears of war 2 up there sleeve, it is ridicule to think that they will win this console war ... and were not mentioning the fact that HOME will come out and we have to conclude the obvious , that theres over 100 million loyal Sony users , i think more than half are FINAL FANTASY fans and trust me FF13 "new franchise" is exclusive for the ps3 , FF series never sold even slightly good on the Xb0x platform...
and i have make notice " what are all those HDMI equipped 360's going to play ? HD-DVD Failed ... it even has a standard DVD's opt for games u will never see a game in 1080 hdmi " it just does not fit " ... and they still lie to their children's fan base by saying WE HAVE GOOD COMPRESSION yada, yada ... microsoft will regret giving sony bad PR to succeed int his console war..
"Uh Oh 360 Hide Your BabiEz ! Its coming !
