4. What we now know - Gears of War 2 will feature an important female character called Maria.

Early in the teaser trailer, we hear Marcus' best mate, Dominic Santiago, or Dom as we all lovingly know him, cry out to Marcus: "If something happens to me, promise me you'll look for Maria." Big new character confirmation right there. Maria will be only the third female character we know of in the Gears of War universe, following Lieutenant Anya Stroud (the one who feeds Intel to Marcus throughout the first game), and the Locust Queen. The more women the merrier we say - Gears has always been a bit bloke heavy.

3. What we still don't know - Who is Maria?
We've already heard loads of rumours about who Maria could be, from Dom's wife or girlfriend to his sister. Could Maria be a romantic interest for Marcus even? We've also heard suggestions that Dom will die at some point in Gears of War 2, which would bring a tear to our eyes (we'd get over it soon enough). Dom's dialogue in the trailer suggests he's about to go off on some suicide mission that will save Delta Squad and perhaps win the war. Ah well. We always preferred playing as Marcus anyway.

Gears of War just proof one think Microsoft's Game Studio is not capable of many things like making good games themselves they need other companies IP the other will be Microsoft is not capable of creating any other genre just FPS. One day Microsoft will have to come from denial just like all Xbox 360 owners one game cannot hold an entire video game console especially when it has so many problems like Red Light of Death and overheating or Xbox Live lagging. Sony doesn't need fear this crap is just a joke how bad Microsoft doesn't know games. PS3 is destine for greatness Xbox 360 is destine to fail as anything. Reply

As for MS's comeback, Gears 1 sold over 5 million copies...thats nealy 4 million more then Resistance 1. Reply

There's Fable 2, Too Human (if it turns out to be good), Halo 3 (Xbox'ers who bought the second and haven't bought a 360 yet, will probably do) and perhaps Project Offset (awesomeness). But saying GeoW 2 will rock the entire PS3 game arsenal is just stupid, yes it is, shaddup! MGS4, KZ 2, GoW III (not necessarily out in '08), LBP and Resistance will surely be great titles as well. However, none of these games is guarenteed to be good (only GTA IV is allowed to do that XD), but they probably will. So people, grow some pride, leave your fanboyism at ze door and try the titles out first. ... Wow, we're going to have a lot of Game of the Year nominees this year, huh? :D Reply

I think it will out sell the first GOW, and the fanboys from xbox & PS3 will have a massive debate about it no matter of a doubt. The Maria part has put a cliffhanger on for sure... I think Dom did speak about her in the first game, when you see the dead Gears solider and Carmaine throws that metal junk down the hole. And it was a shame that Carmaine died so early in the game, but oh well its like "Saving Private Ryan" when Vin Diesel dies so oh well. :D Report Reply

I don't see any harm to release a game to the PC+360. Why? simple. Developer can grap some extra money since they r exclusive to a console. I think, its ok. I know these doesn't go well but if they release these on PC with PS3 , they can overcome the loss and it will be ok for both and gamers. And in 2008, everybody saying that PS3 will dominate this year. fine ! but how ? there 1st party exclusive. ok, that is good but can someone count how many cross platform games will be release in this year ? LOTs ! so, I think, gamers will consider the good quality games not who have exclusive games. if those goes like lair, well problem will be there. other than that i think this year will be equal both 360 and PS3. and abt killzone2. i played both PSP and PS2 version. PS2 was ok but PSP version was good. no need to compare it with others like Halo! when it comes , we will figure it out(don't expect too much). Finaly, GOW2 . oh man ! i bet, a guy who is a shooting game fan, have to play Gear of War. no matter u r a PS3 or wii fan! don't own a 360? then go to ur friends home and play. u r missing something !! 1 last suggestion. don't play the 360 version first if u r planing to play it on PC. 360 version controlling system is better than PC. GOW2 ! i am waiting 4 u. oh, by the way, I still couldn't finish the GOW. hopefully it will be4 Nov'08. Reply
