Wii Virtual Console

Wii owners don't always get the best games to choose from on the Virtual Console, but this week we've been treated to a classic. 1080 Snowboarding from Nintendo provided many N64 gamers with some of their fondest memories of the console, in no small part to the incredibly addictive trick mode performed in a half-pipe. At the time the game featured the most incredible snow effects and incredible animations. It doesn't stand up so well today, but we'd still recommend you give it a look.

Riot Zone, the TuroGrafx-16 side-scrolling beat 'em up, isn't quite so highly recommended. At 800 Wii Points it's not nearly as good value as 1080 and far too easy. It's a poor alternative to Streets of Rage and Final Fight.

And the winner of this week's DLC Royal Rumble is...

Xbox 360 Marketplace

For a second week running the Xbox 360 Marketplace takes the crown, although things were a lot tighter this week. In the end it was really a toss up between Burnout 3 and 1080 and we feel that Burnout just edges it. There's no denying that back in the day 1080 was an incredible experience, but Burnout 3 is still an amazingly exciting racer when compared to the most recent releases.

You won't be disappointed if you're a Wii owner, but PS3 gamers might wonder where their full game releases are this week.
