Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com's weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Recommendation of the Week: Alone in the Dark, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, PS2
We've not seen anything much more impressive in the VideoGamer.com office than the fire in Alone in the Dark. So great is the technology on show that even if Eden Games removed all that makes Alone in the Dark a game we'd still have fun setting stuff alight.
The good news is that there is a game hidden away beneath all the fancy tech-demo visuals - one which promises to revolutionise the survival horror genre. While perhaps not the masterpiece we all hoped it would be, there's enough innovation here to ensure Alone in the Dark is at the top of your post Metal Gear Solid 4 shopping list.
Also out this week
Top Spin 3, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii: Few would deny that SEGA's Virtua Tennis series is fantastic fun, but where do Tennis fans turn when they want a more serious, more realistic match? 2K Sports is hoping it'll be Top Spin 3, a game which turns the traditional tennis gameplay mechanics on its head.
Put some time into learning the new way to play and gamers will find a lot to enjoy. To top it off the visuals are also top notch and rather than being purely eye candy serve to provide the player with life-like visual feedback - if your player isn't in the correct position when hitting the ball you'll know it.
