Already known

Microsoft hasn't made a big deal about its line-up for late 2009 and beyond, but there are a few games that have already been announced or leaked that should be shown off in more detail. Alan Wake will have to be shown in order for gamers to be convinced it's ever coming out, MS will likely make a big deal out of the second GTA 4 DLC Episode and the lid will finally be lifted on Forza 3. Considering Forza 2 offered some of the best sim racing around and some very nifty community features, we're expecting something a bit special from Microsoft and Turn 10 - a simple evolution of Forza 2 won't be enough.

The Return of Rare

Rare hasn't had an easy time since joining Microsoft. Its Xbox 360 games have largely been good to excellent, with Kameo, Viva Piñata (both of them) and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts being among the best games the console has to offer. For some reason, though, the games haven't seen the sales they deserve, but with a Perfect Dark double whammy at E3 2009 the studio might have just what it needs. An HD, online multiplayer version of the original Perfect Dark, available to buy on the day of the conference will go down a storm with fans, while the reveal of a new Xbox 360 game in the series - this time built from the ground up as a 360 game, not ported from the original Xbox - will be one of the standout games of the entire show.
