Wii
There's nothing new for WiiWare this week, but Nintendo has compensated with the release of five Virtual Console titles.
First up is the SEGA Master System classic platformer, Alex Kidd in Miracle World. For many this will be affectionately remembered as the title which came built into their console.
Joining Alex Kidd are two more from the C64 vault: Nebulus, a platform game in which players take control of a green creature called Pogo who is on a mission to destroy eight towers; and Last Ninja 2, the action packed sequel to the most successful C64 game ever released.
Rounding off this week's new releases are the NeoGeo titles Fatal Fury 2 and Ninja Combat. Fatal Fury 2 sees players once again battling for the coveted championship title and introduces a new health system which offers a last resort desperation technique once health has fallen bellow a certain threshold. The game was later improved upon with the release of Fatal Fury Special so it might be worth holding off to see if this makes it to the Virtual Console.
Ninja Combat is a high octane, side-scrolling action title in which players take on the role of a deadly ninja in the near future. Your mission is to assault the Ninja Tower, taking down the evil clan of rival ninjas known as Kage Ichizoku. There's also a two-player mode available, but you're best leaving this alone unless you have a particular nostalgic attraction to it.
Virtual Console
Alex Kidd in Miracle World: 500 Wii Points
Nebulus: 500 Wii Points
Last Ninja 2: 500 Wii Points
Fatal Fury 2: 900 Wii Points
Ninja Combat: 900 Wii Points
And the winner of this week's DLC Royal Rumble is...
Xbox LIVE Marketplace
The Wii might have five new games to choose from, but the lack of a WiiWare update is disappointing. The PS3 disappoints yet again and it leaves the Xbox 360 to claim another win. The two demos will provide some short-lived entertainment, there are loads of new videos to check out and two new XBLA titles to try - remember that all XBLA releases are available in demo form.

Would be good if the PSN had Metal Gear Solid 1 on there as well, seeing as MGS4 is out now. Would of been a nice package as well.
