I wouldn't say the 360 is stupid, it was better for value and of course the games and the better online. But when my brother brought a PS3, I was crying for a PS3 because of the graphics of Drake Fortune. And Folklore was just outstanding, also connecting up on the PSN and playing Warhawk looks brillant. So I am getting a PS3 hopefully soon.

Worldwide there are approximately 83 PS3 games available.
(And about 86 for the Wii, and 234 for the 360).

Worldwide there are approximately 11 million PS3 owners.
(And about 20 million for the Wii and 18 million for the 360).

To the PS3's credit, it reached the million milestone in the UK much faster (47 weeks) than the PS2 (50 weeks) or 360 did (60 weeks), but then the Wii smashed that milestone and sold a million in 38 weeks.

To the PS3's detriment, not all gamers give a toss about Blu-Ray, nor does everyone own HDTVs, they just want to play games and aren't happy about being forced into buying a superfluous Blu-Ray player to do so.

If they strip out Blu-Ray, pop in a regular DVD player and relaunch the 'PS3-Prime' at £199 in time for MGS4, Gran Turismo 5 and FFXIII they'd probably get back into the fight.

First. All PS3 Games are Blu-Ray.

Second. Mr. Hawk. Shut up. You have never played a DVD/Blu-Ray disc movie on the PS3. There is no loading time except only in games.

Thirdly. Karlius, you ignorant moron. Do your research before mouthing off such BS claims. Sony does not own Blu Ray. It is own by the Blu Ray Group. Do your wikipedia/google search and sit the F down.

There will be no advantages in MS strategy to go with downloadable movies since they are not supporting blu ray. Now the real question is? Why have HDMI if they have no intention to use input except for a few games to run 1080p/1080i?

Ask yourself that question?

And have you seen the bloody size of a HD movie? its like 6gb or more on a HDD!! I wont be paying to dl HD movies from ms on my 360 and then have to delete it, f.c.k that!

I agree about Sony getting the Blue-Ray into homes, but the gaming is good. Drakes fortune looks brillant, but MSG4 will properly show off what the PS3 can do. For online Warhawk is a great game to mention, massive maps supports 32 players and the addiction to play more.

the main answer to this questio i think is blue ray. Blue ray players arevery expensive so sony can still justify charging the prices they currentley are doing. Or at least thats what i think.

Your 2nd source basically isnt really giving facts on why ps3 needs price cut, instead its saying 360 sales gone up due to sales, which isnt a good thing to boast! :L 2nd of all do you know how big a HD movie file size is??....no thought not! THERE BIG..too big for that guys laptop if he has other stuff on it. Plus your gonna need a top end gfx card for HD downloads. Hmmm there quite expensive ya know.......

Actually Microsoft offer HD Movie Format for download already as do other online retailers. After the padding that is placed in on Discs is removed the Downloads are average size of 1.5gb and i challenge you to show me the difference between the download, blue ray or even hd dvd. Fact is you couldn't.

Whats good with this service after 10 minutes of download time the movie plays with no lag!

Apple to launch HD Movie Downloads

An additional fact is that Sky now broadcast HD. To stream at HD in the retrospect of Blue Ray it would have to stream at 555 mb a minute or 9.5 mb a second. That just isn't feasable or indeed probable. More likely is they use a similar format to Microsoft or Apple and will stream at 360kbs and below.

Thus proving Blue Ray Poinltess.

Average new HDD 250gb / 2gb = 125 HD Movie storage on your HDD

Sorry mate think you are talking rubbish.

you couldnt be more of a sony hater lol, the ps2 is the biggest selling console around and you dont get that way by making finely tuned bags of crap, also every one knows that the xbox 360 has a crap failure rate, also the amount of people online i spoke to when i use to have my xbox (traded in for ps2) said their xbox froze up like mine so dont pick on an artical for being bias when ur even more bias then them!!

its what everybody doesnt seem t get.. the ps3 is more than a console yo..the ps range has always sort ways to give gamers more than gaming fun..ps1 cd player, ps2 dvd/cd, ps3 WOW where to begin..the ps3 is cheap for its capacity.. and xbox fan boys you just gon cry coz 120 mil ps2 owners wont be crossing over to 360 but to next gen king.. master of high def the ps3.. hate it or love it the ps3 is on top: oh u guys had just 10 reasons the world could give you 1000 reasons
