2. A brand new Wii Legend of Zelda game
Long time Nintendo fans and hardcore gaming Wii owners still love Nintendo, but have to admit Miyamoto and co have been concentrating on the casual thing first and foremost in recent years. One of our biggest wishes for E3 2008 is for Nintendo to make a big splash on the core gaming market, and a brand new Zelda game would certainly go a long way to doing that. Just think how bonkers ace it would be for Miyamoto to stride on stage once again with a Master Sword and a Nintendo T-Shirt screaming from underneath his suit jacket. And then, just above his head a world exclusive trailer assaults our senses for a minute or two, showing a complete revolution of the series. Casting aside the somewhat disappointing Twilight Princess and pushing the Wii as far as it can possibly go in terms of graphical performance, this brand new Zelda game will have hardcore gamers scrambling under their beds and dusting off their Wiis in anticipation of what promises to be a return to Hyrule glory for Nintendo. Come on guys, we know you can do it.
1. Handheld from Microsoft
Microsoft has more than enough on its plate with the Xbox 360 and Games for Windows, but we'd love to see a new handheld announced from the company. We'd want it to at least be as powerful as the original Xbox, sport two analogue sticks and feature a large solid state hard drive for downloadable games. Obviously it would have support for Xbox LIVE, so how about Super 3G mobile broadband so you can play online wherever you are? We're dreaming, but that's what a wish list is all about.
That's out top 10 wishes for E3 2008, but what do you want from the July event? Let us know in the comments section below.
