Wii Virtual Console
The only update to the Wii's Virtual Console this week is Lords of Thunder, a 2D shmup for the TuroboGrafx-16. The highly regarded shooter sees players taking out enemies as a warrior of the elements: Earth, Wind, Fire and Water.
As with most titles in the genre, if you're not into shmups then this probably won't be for you and with no option for a demo you might want to use the 800 Wii Points on a game more to your taste.
And the winner of this week's DLC Royal Rumble is...
Xbox 360 Marketplace
For a fifth week running the Xbox 360 Marketplace is the winner of our DLC Royal Rumble. The Wii's Virtual Console solo offering sees it stuck in last place and the PSN's old demos and lacklustre Skydiving game see it sandwiched in the middle at No.2.
In the end we thought Poker Smash along with some worthwhile game content for Test Drive Unlimited and Crystal Quest were enough to put Xbox LIVE Marketplace on top. However, it's been a very poor week across the board. Here's hoping for a better showing next week.
