Xbox 360 - Marketplace

Xbox LIVE Marketplace has a lot to offer this week, with a good selection of XBLA games, demos, add-on content, trailers and themes. The biggest XBLA game is the wickedly hard Mega Man 9, hitting the 360 a week after Wii and PS3. It's still well worth a look if you're after some hardcore modern retro gaming, but we'd advise trying the demo before spending the 800 MS points. War World isn't nearly as essential, with its robot shooting gameplay proving to be a little derivative.

As with the PS3, Xbox 360 owners can try out PES 2009, along with demos for 2K Sports' NBA 2K9 and Rare's wonderful Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise. We don't think a demo will show VP off to its true potential, but it should at least reveal that it's not a game that will appeal only to kids.

As usual there's an array of gamer pics, themes and videos, as well as a selection of Rock Band tracks. Xbox 360 FIFA 09 players can also buy additional adidas LIVE season subscriptions if season-long player updates for one league isn't enough.
