Wii Virtual Console

This week sees the start of the Virtual Console's second Hanabi Festival, bringing a selection of retro titles previously released only in Japan or the US to European Wii gamers.
New are the Turobografx shmups Gradius II Gofer No Yabou and Final Soldier, plus the SEGA Mega Drive puzzle title Columns III. It's great to see previously unreleased titles made available to European gamers, but what isn't great is that Nintendo has priced these titles higher than normal.
Virtual Console releases
Gradius II Gofer No Yabou: 900 Wii Points
Final Soldier: 700 Wii Points
Columns III: Revenge of Columns: 900 Wii Points
And the winner of this week's DLC Royal Rumble is...
Virtual Console
With poor new content for the PS3 and Xbox 360, the Virtual Console takes the victory even though the three releases are overpriced. We know the platform holders are wary of the millions of gamers playing GTA 4, but this week's new content is highly disappointing. If you've got some Wii Points to burn then you might want to take a punt on one of the new Hanabi Festival titles.
Hopefully things will pick up next week.
