Spidey caught in web on PS3

The PlayStation 3 version of Activision's game will release two weeks later than planned.

This Friday (May 4) sees the release of Spider-Man 3 across the world and it's expected to be one of the biggest movies of the year, if not in movie history. To coincide with this momentous event Activision will release the video game based on the movie.

May 4 was to be the day when Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, PC and DS owners could experience the movie through their platform of choice, but it seems that PS3 owners will need to wait two more weeks.

Activision UK has today confirmed to Pro-G that the game of the Sony Pictures movie has indeed been delayed on PS3 and is now set for a May 18 release in the UK. No reason for the delay was given.

I've heard that they are boosting the graphics on the PS3 version to 1080p and that Activision are making the AI smarter.

looks like i wont be buying this game without a REAL good explanation for why the 360, and the other consols already have there spiderman 3 game :O

Luckily the game seems like a bundle of rubbish on the '360, so these extra two weeks just gives us time to find out that it isn't worth our money, and so we don't have to give it to them. Simple

A two-week delay in the UK is a 4-week delay in Australia. I bought the PS2 version yesterday only to find it won't load past the familiarization level on the PS3. Don't even get me started on the Australian PSN store's lack of updates.

They should be sayin why its delayed, absolutely sick of gettin the sh*tty end of the stick. Makes it worse how they left it until RIGHT before it comes out too. I hope they all realise exactly how much of a bunch of tossers they are.

So, not only was the console delayed but now a game that should have been given priority as it is a major part to do with sony!!! I think this is an absolute joke, the ps3 even has the spiderman writing on it and yet again the release if put back even though other consoles can have it!!!
£425 for delay after delay. DISGUSTING! The price of the game should be cut, im not going to buy it on principle now!
