The game's actually already out in North America, but we're used to hefty release delays in Europe. Anyway, if you're thinking the game will come with some bizarre light-gun peripheral then you're wrong - players simply need to tap the DS's touch screen with a stylus, but there's no reason die-hard Point Blank veterans can't pull out an old G-Con 2 and tape a stylus to its barrel.
The game will feature forty stages that have been lifted from the previous titles in the series. Other game modes include Brain Massage mode, which analyses the player's ability when carrying out set tasks, Arcade, Freeplay, and also some Wireless multiplayer complete with game sharing.
Point Blank DS is scheduled for a European release towards the end of the year.
