Nintendo has announced a Hot Rod Red DS to be bundled with Mario Kart DS as a special package.
The DS and Mario Kart DS package will go on sale in North America on November 28th for $149.99 and will come complete with a fancy red DS and decals, such as flames and racing numbers for customisation. The package will also contain a chequered flag wrist strap. Mario Kart DS will be the first WiFi enabled DS game, allowing gamers to race against opponents from all over the world.
The one strange thing about this bundle is that the game is released on November 14th, two weeks prior to the special DS package. This will prove somewhat annoying to those desperately wanting the game, but also wanting the rather sweet looking Hot Rod Red DS. You will either have to wait for the bundle or buy both the game and the bundle. Maybe this is just clever thinking on Nintendo's part.
There is currently no news on a European release for the Mario Kart DS bundle.
