Huge sales of the newly released DS version help the Olympics game back to the top.
SEGA's massively successful Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games shot back to the top of the All Formats All Prices chart this week, thanks to the newly released Nintendo DS version. While the Wii version slumped 12 places to No.16, the DS version - accounting for 93% of the game's total sales - ensured SEGA was celebrating another No.1.
Capcom's reign at the top with Devil May Cry 4 was short-lived, falling a single place to No.2, while Touchstone/Disney's Turok managed to hold-on to third place for a second week. Call of Duty 4 climbs back up to No.4 and Wii Play holds strong at No.5.
There are just two new releases making an impact on the Top 40 this week: Midway's Game Party for Wii at No.15 and 505 Games' Cooking Mama 2 for Nintendo DS at No.33.
Nintendo's newly released Battalion Wars 2 failed to make the Top 40, placing at a highly disappointing No.20 in the Wii chart. Similarly, Square Enix's Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings on Nintendo DS could only manage No.17 in the DS chart.
