New Kuju studio developing 'Ology titles for Wii
Dragonology to be released in the second half of 2008.
NiK NaK, Kuju Entertainment's Guilford-based studio which specialises in the creation of games for young players, has today announced that its first titles will be Wii titles Dragonology and Wizardology for Codemasters.
The two games are based on the 'Ology series of books from Templar Publishing, which have sold over 15 million copies worldwide. Each provides a study of their respective topic in a fun and interesting way which has made them popular for the young and old.
"We are delighted to be working with Codemasters on the Dragonology and Wizardology games for Wii. The readers of the Templar books are exactly the target audience that NiK NaK's games set out to entertain," said Studio Head Kevin Holloway. "In developing the games, we have designed ways that will make the Wii Remote an intuitive control device for the younger player, whilst allowing more experienced players the challenge of perfecting their performance."
The Wii version of each title will centre on action gaming. Codemasters also intends to release versions of each game on the Nintendo DS embracing explorative gameplay in the form of an interactive book.
Dragonology is currently intended for release in the second half of 2008.
