Castlevania returning to DS?

The latest issue of Nintendo Power magazine gives some rather blatant clues about a forthcoming game.

While the next Castlevania game for the DS doesn't appear as a news story in the magazine, the text promoting the next issue is rather blatant in its meaning: "As mysterious as a new moon, the follow-up to one of 2005's best DS titles is a whip-smart adventure that you won't want to miss," reads the text in question.

Anyone with any knowledge of the Castlevania series will instantly tie the mention of the moon and a whip to the classic Konami franchise. Given that Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is regarded by many as one of the best titles on the DS, and it was released last year, can the game in next month's magazine really be anything other than what's suggested?
