Drum Grip revealed for Band Hero on DS

Strum, sing or drum in new handheld band experience.

Activision has announced it is expanding the boundaries of music gaming with the introduction of full band play in Band Hero for Nintendo DS Lite.

In a first for handheld music games, Band Hero will allow players to not only strum, but also sing and drum via an innovative new Drum Grip peripheral which features four drum pads.

In multiplayer mode it will be possible to choose any instrument combination of guitar, bass, drums and vocals and belt out some of today's most popular tracks - 30 master recordings including tracks from Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, The Killers, KT Tunstall, and Fall Out Boy.

The game will also feature a brand new Rockstar Editor to fully customise your band members, No Fail mode and Stage Stunts.

Band Hero is scheduled for release this autumn.
