Capcom has no plans to bring Ace Attorney Investigations 2 to Europe and North America, but admits this could change in the future.

During a recent Ask Capcom video, Capcom VP of strategic planning and business development Christian Svensson was probed on the topic of bringing Ace Attorney Investigations 2 to Western audiences and delivered a disappointing reply to fans.

"The answer is 'no.' Sorry about that," said Svensson.

Svensson later told Siliconera: "Regarding the question, plans change all the time so I would probably rather use the 'There are no plans for a Western release at this time for AAI2.'"

VideoGamer.com Analysis

The previous game in the series, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth hit Europe early last year with no objections. The sequel was released in Japan back in February, where it looks likely to be the only place to get hold of the game.

Ace Attorney games haven't been huge sellers in Europe, so the decision not to invest in a Western release is a logical one.

It's probably more the fault of the people that pirate DS games. The expected sales of the game are so low that they won't earn enough money to pay back the price of releasing it in the west.

:( I may have been one of the only people who bought the original AAI, it doesn't you have to let down the people who did buy it... caocom... I am disapointed....

just so long as they dont limit: 'Ace Attorney Vs. Proffessor Layton' to japan only, they have no complaints from me, just in-audiable british grumble
