Valorant Episode 8 Act 2 is coming to an end. There’s only one more week remaining before we move onto the next chapter of the game. Very few details have been provided thus far, but Riot Games has shared upcoming changes to Premier mode. In addition, they have stated that the Valorant Episode 8 Act 3 update 8.08 patch will fix a major Agent bug as well as bring Split back.

Although not much new content has been shared for the upcoming Episode 8 Act 3, a recent leak has uncovered a gorgeous new bundle said to be thematically similar to League of Legends’ Spirit Blossom. Riot Games’ new chapter is scheduled to launch next week, so you only have a very limited time remaining to enjoy Episode 8 Act 2 that will forever be remembered for introducing Clove.

We will post the update 8.08 patch notes when they are officially revealed in their entirety, but, for now, Riot Games has given Valorant fans a glimpse of what they can expect.

Valorant Episode 8 Act 3 update 8.08 preview

On the official Valorant Twitter account, Riot Games has given a slight preview of update 8.08 for Episode 8 Act 3. For the time being, Split has currently been removed from the Competitive, Unrated, Premier, Swiftplay, and Spike Rush map pools. It will come back with a fix in patch 8.08.

In addition to Split coming back with fixes, update 8.08 will fix a bug for Cypher’s Tripwire ability. Per Riot Games’ announcement, the current bug ‘shows his Tripwires on the minimap of his teammates after he has died’.

So that’s two fixes you can expect come next week’s update. In addition to the above, Episode 8 Act 3 will introduce the following updates to Premier mode:

Promotion:

  • Teams that win their playoff bracket this stage will be promoted at least one division at the start of the next stage. The top two contender teams in each zone will get the opportunity to make into the challengers league.

Invite Division in E9A1:

  • Quality for the Invite Division in E9A1 by being one of the top 32 teams in your zone’s contender division at the end of the stage.

600 Playoff Qualification:

  • Playoff Qualification threshold is now 600 premier score for all divisions.

This is everything we know about Episode 8 Act 3 so far. Provided there are no delays, the upcoming chapter is slated to launch on April 30th.
