The upcoming 8.08 update, which will usher in Episode 8 Act 3, will fix two major bugs that have been discovered, as well as bring back Split after it was removed from the Competitive, Unrated, Premier, Swiftplay, and Spike Rush map pools.

Riot Games recently posted on X to give players a small preview of what to expect from the 8.08 update saying,

“Recently we’ve discovered two different bugs, one with Cypher’s Trapwire, which shows his Trapwires on the minimap of his teammates after he has died, and the other an exploit on Split. We will be shipping a fix for both of them in Patch 8.08. Until then, Cypher will still be available to play, but we will be removing Split from the Competitive, Unrated, Premier, Swiftplay, and Spike Rush map pools.

Since the Premier map this week was intended to be Split, we will be replacing it with Ascent. Split will also be removed from the map pick and ban process in the Premier Playoffs this Sunday.”
