Demon Slayer Sweep the Board gameplay mechanics explained

As a multiplayer game, Sweep the Board allows four people to play at once. Demon Slayer Sweep the Board is the first board game set in the Demon Slayer franchise. Since there is no demo for the game, we can only go off what we’ve seen in various trailers and information from the game’s listening on the eShop. As you might expect, there will be several references to the anime, including characters and locations you might notice if you’re an avid fan.

The game is split into two sections; day and night. During the day, you will prepare for the night by rolling the dice and competing in events and minigames. When it’s nighttime, you will seek out demons to kill in the area. These demon fights are also minigames, requiring button inputs to beat them. There is a generous roster of characters to begin with, including Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the Hashira.

Does Demon Slayer Sweep the Board have any pre-order bonuses?

There is technically a pre-order bonus for Demon Slayer Sweep the Board in the form of a digital edition bonus. If you buy the game on the Nintendo eShop, you can claim the following rewards:

  • Set of four stamps (Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira)
    • Stamps are used for player communication in-game.

Nintendo has said on the eShop that these rewards might be made available later as standalone DLC. So you don’t have to pre-order the game to get them, just doing so now will ensure you get them on launch.
