There is nothing more that makes Fortnite players more happy than V-Bucks! Well, at least besides getting a Victory Royale! Unfortunately, the only legitimate way to get a lot of this premium currency is by purchasing them from the in-game store. This isn’t something everyone can afford, which is why free V-Bucks are always welcome.

While it’s impossible to earn thousands of V-Bucks for free, you can earn smaller amounts from time to time. Furthermore, Epic releases free Fortnite skins nearly every month, and you can grab them before they expire.

Why did Epic send more extra V-Bucks to Fortnite players?

Shortly after the latest Fortnite update came out, many players noticed something different. Shortly after logging in, they were greeted by a message that granted them V-Bucks, which was a pleasant surprise. It turns out that this was done due to a bug that was bothering players for nearly a week. More specifically, Epic Games fixed the bug with the Harpy Haze pack.

Harpy Haze is a skin that recently came out with the Shrieking Star Quest Pack. The pack costs $8.99 in the Item Shop and contains a couple of other cosmetic items. Most importantly, the pack contains a couple of quests you can complete to earn 1,000 V-Bucks. Unfortunately, these quests were bugged before the v29.30 update.

The new Fortnite quest pack was supposed to grant 1,000 V-Bucks in total. However, it would disappear from the quest log after players completed its first stage and earned 100 V-Bucks. Due to this, Epic sent extra V-Bucks to eligible players who already completed these quests. It turns out that the quests were active, but they just weren’t visible.

The Shrieking Star Quest Pack is still available in the shop and will stay there until May 14 at 8 PM Eastern Time. If you need extra V-Bucks while also getting new cosmetic items, you should certainly consider it.
