Despite being close to a decade old at this point, Fallout 4 is still the latest single player entry in the series, and it looks like it will still be many years until Fallout 5 is on the horizon. So, at least right now, the best option is to bring Fallout 4 into the current generation with improved visuals and performance, and that is what Bethesda is set to do later this week. Lining up nicely with the release of the Fallout TV show on Amazon Prime Video, Fallout 4 is about to receive a new update for next gen platforms and PC, which is sure to bring a lot of attention on the game and generate some new sales. But, when will you be able to download this new patch?
The upcoming Fallout 4 next gen update will go live on April 25th for all platforms, these are PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Players will not need to spend any money on the upgrade, which has been the case with games in the past. Instead, this will just update the game to the latest version which will include all of the improvements and changes.
PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X players will see the most changes, with many graphical and performance improvements made, while the previous gen PS4 and Xbox One players will just see some issues that have been affecting the game finally resolved.
