Helldivers 2 is a game that regularly sees new content added whether it is from its frequent updates, new Warbonds, or even just weapons and items added via hotfix into the game like we saw with the Quasar Cannon and Heavy Machine Gun. With so much fresh content being added, the Helldivers 2 community often shares its own ideas in the hopes that Arrowhead Game Studios takes note and brings some of them into the game.
It is unknown whether this has been the case in the past, but there have been some instances where ideas shared online were very close to what was eventually added, such as the new defense missions that were brought to the game earlier this month.
U/Snarfbuckle shared some ideas for new Sentries on Reddit, which you can check out below, let us know which one is your favorite on our Helldivers 2 forum.

U/JackPembroke shared a great idea for a decoy Sentry saying, “I want a decoy sentry. Like that cardboard helldiver in the tutorial. He’s got a ton of life and just babbles propaganda and shoots off fireworks, attracting attention.”
U/Superb-Cockroach-281 gave a suggestion that would fit with the theme of the game, a Helldiver launcher, saying “Helldivers loaded sentry. Each member can step into it to be launched at the enemy in a stupid heroic manner.”
Perhaps the worst sentry to add would be a flamethrower Sentry, which would surely cause many friendly fire deaths. U/CokeandChill suggested a “flamethrower guard dog”, stating that their “teammates are not dying often enough.”
With new content being added regularly it wouldn’t be surprising if some of these made their way into the game in the near future. But at least right now, it doesn’t seem like there are any plans to add new sentries.
