Many Call of Duty fans are awaiting Activision’s inevitable announcement about the new CoD installment for 2024. It should be happening relatively soon with plenty of details already leaked. While it is expected to be part of Microsoft’s Xbox June summer showcase, there is seemingly the likelihood that Call of Duty Black Ops Gulf War gets revealed in May.
While nothing is official as of writing, leaked details about the next Call of Duty are really exciting. The campaign is poised to be the best ever with an open-world similar to Far Cry, and there is a specifically leaked returning character from the Black Ops series that should have fans excited. Not only that, but Verdansk will reportedly return to Warzone following Season 1 of CoD 2024.
Again, nothing is official as of yet, not even the Black Ops Gulf War title and setting. However, all of that could change very soon with a reveal possibly happening next month.
Call of Duty 2024 reveal possibly happening in May
Although there are no official details as of yet, it seems there’s a possibility that Call of Duty 2024, Black Ops Gulf War, will be revealed in May. CoD leaker Vondyispog posted the following predictions for the schedule of Black Ops Gulf War from reveal to release:
- Announcement – Mid May
- Worldwide Reveal – Late May
- Campaign Reveal – June 9th
- MP Reveal – Early August
- Zombies Reveal – Mid August
- MP Beta – Early September
- Campaign Early Access – Late September
- Zombies Early Access – Early October
- Launch – October 25th
It’s important to note that these are merely marketed as predictions by the leaker. However, in the replies, fellow CoD leaker crashfty responded with a tweet possibly implying that he and Vondyispog know something about a May reveal.
Away from the above tweets, a May reveal is also possible as Insider Gaming reported that Black Ops Gulf War will be announced before the Xbox June summer showcase. There’s no specified date, but leaker Tom Henderson reported that it will be revealed in a more ‘traditional fashion’ outside of Warzone.
As for the Xbox summer showcase, that is expected to land on June 9th. The Verge reports that the Microsoft exhibition will showcase gameplay alongside the reveal of a brand new Gears of War plus showings from Avowed, Indiana Jones, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Stepping away from the reveal, rumored pre-order bonuses also point to early access for zombies along with the campaign as predicted by Vondyispog. There should be a multiplayer beta as with every new installment, and the release window for this beta has possibly been shared online.
Whether it is announced in May or kept hidden until June, we don’t have too long to wait until the curtain is pulled aside on the next Call of Duty entry. We cannot wait to see it in action, and we’re also eager to see if it will be free for millions of gamers from day one by joining Game Pass.
