VideoGamer.com Analysis

Given that there are some quality games on the list this seems like a pretty generous offer from Nintendo. Which games do you plan on buying and which will will take as a freebie?

Shame it's only 1 free game and you can't get 2 if you buy 6 games.

Mind you, there's my wife's account and we're getting several copies of Animal Crossing for the kids...

That's great news! I've got Luigi's Mansion and Castlevania. I'll be buying Donkey Kong physical and downloading Fire Emblem.

CAN THE 3DS GET ANY BETTER THIS YEAR?!?! :D
Answer: Yes. Metroid is announced at E3.

I just got the digital version of Fire Emblem anyway after having to give the physical copy back. GAME are doing a 25% extra trade in against them at the moment.

Actually, the eShop prices are not as bad as you fear. Yes, they pretty much all cost £39.99, but that is the SRP anyway and you're not going to be finding any of the carts for less than £34.99 anywhere in retail. And then take into account that Monster Hunter, as an example, was sold out everywhere and that Fire Emblem has seen the sticker price go up since release due to popularity, and the temptation to just buy the digital version gets higher. When the convenience differential is £5, it just feels harder to hate it, you know?

I'd happily buy Luigi's Mansion and Donkey Kong Country, but any of those other games I just know I'd never get around to playing. :( Pretty cool that we can buy the physical retail copies as well rather than having to pay their eShop prices... I don't know what their eShop prices are like but it's one of those things I think I recall people complaining about... god I sound like a government employee.

I got one of those last month and they do work with Wii U as they just plug into an old Wii remote

Getting lego city on Friday, but if anyone has spare codes (you can only register one of each game) we should pool our resources!

Yeah doing the same survey with the same answers each time does get quite annoying after a while, but in the end we get free stuff if we do it so I can't complain. I'm saving for the SNES Wii controller, which is 7000 stars (only 2500 to go). Hopefully those things work with Wii U.

I already have Monster Hunter, Luigi's Mansion, and Fire Emblem, so this makes me very happy. The downside is that while getting the codes to register, I discovered that I in fact had FOURTEEN games still to register, at least one of which I have had for so long that the code itself is no longer valid. The fact that the survey asks for the same basic information that should be in my account already every time has led to me putting some quite sarcastic answers in the boxes, and now I can't access the site. I am hoping this is because of the rush of people doing what I am, and not because Nintendo have banned me.

My wallet can't afford two more games to qualify for this deal, but it's seriuosly got me very tempted, seeing as I intended to get Luigi's Mansion 2 at some point down the line...
